Going along with the government plan for the revival and rebuilding of the tourism industry in recent years, Iran Air mainly due to its unique and full range facilities available in domestic and international air transportation as well as hotel accommodation sector, felt the necessity of its contribution in this dynamicfield. To accomplish this, Iran Air took some essential measures including the renovation of existing Homa hotels and building new ones, launching charter flights for groups and diversifying the range of its activities for the cause of tourism.
\nThat was not enough, Iran Air decided to develop an independent and specialized department for tourism activities. This decision and thought became the basis for the establishment of Homa Tourism Center (HTC) in 1996, which was formed by gathering the most experienced and skillful professionals from various commercial, marketing, operations and sales departments of Iran Air who were more devoted to tourism. This competent team is directed by a know legible expert with great background and achievements in the fields of public relations, organizing tourism fairs and seminars, as well as handling tours.
\nHTC began to operate and still continues with some major objectives including but not limited to the following:
\n– To unify and integrate all the related touristic facilities and services of Iran Air and better utilize them for tourism ends.
\n– To contribute to the promotion of tourism industry in general and Iran in particular through the wide connections and facilities of Iran Air domestically and internationally, and
\n– To offer “quality service” and “value for money” products to the tourists and travelers.
\nIn order to make the services and products up-to-date, and be familiar with the needs, and expectations of customers, as well as changing market trends, HTC holds active presence in most of the tourism trade fairs, shows and seminars around the world. Its permanent contacts and connections with Iran Air Sales Offices and Travel Agencies abroad, enables HTC to respond effectively to the ever-changing environment of travel market and match itself with new emerging concepts.
\nHTC’s activities and operations are concentrated into three main categories; Incoming; Outgoing and Domestic Tours. Being affiliated with Iran Air and Homa Hotel Group provides a unique opportunity for HTC to take advantage of special tariffs and services on flights and hotel accommodation, resulting the most competitive prices.
\nHTC also employs trained tour guides who have passed extensive courses on history, geography, archaeology and foreign languages.
